Reviewer's opinion:

Review title: Alice Cooper, Motorhead. Cardiff CIA
Opinion: Motorhead are noisey, not my cup of instant coffee really, but I did enjoy Killed by Death and Ace of Spades. You get what you expect, nothing else to say, apart from...drum solo, come on, what is it 1983 again? So Alice Cooper, always good fun, even with the terrible sound in the CIA (CRAPPY INDOOR ACOUSTICS?). For me Alice hasn't made a great record since Welcome to my nightmare(1975), and judging by his show he's in agreement with me. I'd estimate 15 of the 20 or so songs were '75 or pre. We got around 3 I didn't know, 2 from the 'hair metal eighties Alice', Feed my Frankenstein, and Poison...aaarrrgghhh! Other than that it was joyous in the extreme, Muscle of love, Be my Lover, Under My Wheels, Dead Babies, I love the Dead,Cold Ethel (such poetry.. "She's cool in bed, she oughtta be..cos Ethel's dead").....they just kept on coming. As did the carachters in the Alice show, including his very own daughter. And they hung him for killing the baby, as usual! Personally I prefer the beheading..but you can't be too picky! Alice is good for 60, and he knows what we like.

Where bought: CIA box office
From a chain? No
Price paid: 35.0 (GBP) - Per Head
Would have paid:
When bought: Friday, June 01, 2007 (Bought: All the time)
Ethical rating: 3/5 Neither
Social Rating: 3/5 Neither
Other comments: I'm not sure how ethically and socially responsible it is to pretend to kill people on a stage, whilst singing songs about necrophilia, but it's meant in good fun.

I'm afraid the high beer prices inside the CIA meant that I was kept away from Joan Jett, by the pub over the road. I mean, £3.80 for a tin of Strongbow is really pushing it. So I can't conmment on Joan Jetts performance, sorry Dave.

Rating for Review: 1/5 - 'Trashed!'

Hey Jamie! Was that one of the gigs where Joan Jett was supporting? If so, how was she? David.
