Took this book on holiday about a month ago, and really
enjoyed it. There is just the right amount of background on
the aircraft used in the raid, how they were used, and
importantly how they had *not* been used before. The
characters of the people involved are built up in the style of
many fiction books, but the story is indeed true. There is
plenty of banter, a dash of politics, lots of engineering effort
and ingenuity, and of course heroic flying. My review makes it
sound quite dry, but it is a really good story, well told.
