I tried to access this service through the Catalunya
Generalitat official page:
http://www.gencat.net/turisme/btt/uk/centrosbtt.htm which
claims to list all the affiliated centres. This website provides
incorrect or out of date information as it lists 'Active natura'
as the BTT centre, whereas Active Natura is a privately-run
outdoor activities centre, and the BTT place is next door.
Despite calling ahead and reserving bikes, the BTT centre
was closed when we arrived (within it's published opening
hours) and no-one was answering the mobile phone number
given. Considering that we had walked 30 minutes from the
train station to access the centre it was a bit of a
disappointment! Even when calling to reserve the bikes the
night before, the person I spoke to was off-hand and so
perhaps I should have suspected, but they agreed to reserve
the bikes so.... I will be making an official complaint. Gave it a
2 because the place (from the outside) actually looked pretty
well put-together and had picnic tables/a barbeque available.
Also the cycling (and walking, as we discovered) routes
around seem really good.
