Like everyone Guerlain mix their vetiver with other scents,
this one, as well as ceder, lists Tobacco, Nutmeg, Pepper,
Tonka bean, and Capiscum as base notes and Bergamot, Lemon,
Mandarin, Neroli, Coriander , as top notes. Despite all that
it still has a lot of the smell of the natural herb, the
citrus notes bring it up but don't dominate it so it doesn't
end up smelling like an old spaniards cologne, which is
alwasy the risk with vetiver. It was relaunched and
repackaged in 2000 but apparently unchanged in terms of
formula. Out of all the main commercial versions this is
possibly the purist.
