Opinion:
|
For a 5-star hotel, this is not that great. Granted, the
location is good and the service is excellent but it is
hobbled by California laws. For example, there is an open
courtyard which should make a fantastic venue for evening
drinks but, due to Santa Monica statutes, you cannot smoke
whilst sitting outside. This has the effect of breaking the
flow of an evening meeting and making you (the erstwhile
smoker) feel like a criminal - despite paying USD$400 per
room!!!
