Description:

A restaurant that serves 'pinchos' - basque style tapas -
bread with interesting toppings. You can sit at tables but I
have only ever sat at the bar where you can watch the food
coming out and shout for what you want.

This is a pretty informal place which has, based on the
queues that build up at crucial times (ie when the next set of
pinchos is about to be put out), made it's way into lots of
guide books. I really recommend waiting around for a stool at
the bar, as then you can see all the food and pick what you
fancy (and more importantly point to what you fancy, if your
catalan or castellano is a little sketchy). The house wine by
the glass is excellent and a bargain (around 2 euros a large
glass, if I recall correctly) and they do half bottles of a great,
crisp cava for about 6-7 euros. The bar staff/waiters are
mostly friendly and helpful, and even the ones that are a
touch grumpy seem to be putting it on a bit for the tourists!
